2:00 - 3:00 Disinfection, Ch. 5

Wednesday (The Second Day)

11:15 - 11:30 Regulations and Guidelines, Ch. 2
11:30 - Noon State Health Code
Noon - 1:00 Break - 1 hour
1:00 - 2:00 State Health Code, continued: Guest Speaker, Health Department
2:00 - 3:00 Management and Recordkeeping, Ch. 13
3:00 - 3:15 Break - 15 minutes
3:15 - 3:45 Heating and Air Circulation, Ch. 11
3:45 - 4:15 Maintenance and Trouble-Shooting, Ch. 16-17
4:15 - 5:00 Review and Test Preparation

Thursday (The Third Day)

8:00 - 8:30 Review Test Preparation
8:30 - 9:15 Facility Safety, Workplace Safety, Ch. 14
9:15 - 9:45 Facility Renovation and Design, Ch. 18
9:45 - 10:00 Break - 15 minutes
10:00 - Noon Open-Book Exam (75% minimum to pass)

Supplies to bring:

  1. Calculator, notepaper, pencils, and a highlighter marker
  2. Lunch money or sack lunch
  3. Picture I.D.
  4. Pool/Spa Operators Handbook if you have already received it.

Each participant will receive one copy of the textbook, either by mail or at beginning of the course. CPO certification is recorded at the National Swimming Pool Foundation and lasts 5 years. To re-certify, CPO's may challenge the exam at any time during that 5-year period as long as the textbook is still current. POOL SCHOOL FLORIDA charges a minimum fee to administer the challenge exam to CPO's wishing to re-certify.
